In recent years, soilless cultivation technology has gradually developed in various places. Compared with soil cultivation, soilless cultivation can avoid continuous cropping obstacles such as soil-borne diseases and insect pests, and also has the characteristics of reducing pesticide consumption, improving crop yield and quality, saving fertilizer, water, labor, and crop production in all places not suitable for general agricultural production. At the same time, soilless cultivation can reduce labor intensity, So that women and the elderly can also engage in such productive activities. At present, more than 70% of greenhouse crop production in developed countries adopts soilless cultivation.


However, traditional soilless cultivation also has disadvantages such as large one-time investment, high operating costs, and difficult preparation and management of nutrient solution. Therefore, these systems have been difficult to promote in a large area in China.



The organic ecotype soilless culture technology developed by the Vegetable and Flower Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences has solved these problems.


Organic ecotype soilless culture technology refers to the use of substrate instead of natural soil; A cultivation technique that uses organic solid fertilizer and direct water to irrigate crops instead of traditional nutrient solution to irrigate plant roots.


Eco-organic soilless cultivation is an agricultural high-xin technology, which has the characteristics of fertilizer saving, water saving, labor saving, high yield, high quality, free from geographical restrictions and clean and sanitary products, and simple operation and management, non-pollution of system effluent, and good product quality.


In the past ten years, the popularization area of the organic ecotype soilless cultivation technology has increased by more than 30% annually, accounting for more than 60% of the total area of soilless cultivation in the country. More than 30 demonstration bases have been established in the country. The production practice in various places has fully proved its simple, practical, efficient and other characteristics. The average annual yield of vegetables per mu reached more than 15000 kg, an increase of 150%.


Characteristics of organic ecotype soilless culture technology

The organic ecotype soilless cultivation technology is based on the benign ecological cycle of organic planting and agriculture. Compared with the traditional nutrient solution soilless cultivation, its main characteristics are:


First, it breaks through the traditional concept that soilless cultivation must use chemical nutrient solution. It uses organic solid fertilizer instead of chemical nutrient solution, and only needs irrigation water during the whole growth process of crops.

Second, it greatly broadens the range of materials for cultivation substrates. The agricultural wastes such as cheap crop straw, corn cob, waste mushroom residue, which can be obtained locally, are used to replace the expensive peat as the soilless culture substrate, and can be used continuously for 3 to 4 years.


Third, the cost of soilless cultivation has been significantly reduced. The one-time investment is 45% lower than that of Z simple nutrient tank culture, the cost of fertilizer is 53% lower, and the cost of substrate is 60% lower.


Fourth, the effect of increasing production is obvious. The annual yield of tomato produced by this technology is more than 20000 kg per mu, reaching 22187.78 kg, reaching the current domestic yield level.


Fifth, effectively improve product quality. The successful introduction of organic agriculture into soilless cultivation conforms to the fertilization standards of "green food" and "organic food" in China, and can significantly improve the nutrition and flavor quality of products, especially can effectively reduce the nitrate content of products.


Sixth, it greatly reduces the difficulty of operation and management. On the basis of "simplification", the "standardization" of fertilizer and water management of soilless culture has been realized, making the soilless culture technology from unfathomable to simple and easy to learn, and realizing the "foolishness" of management.
